Amazingly good

Fast, transparent, versatile, stable. Does the job. What else could we ask for?

cannot hide dock icon

so i dont get it, you add black and white menubar icon, but remove ability to hide dock icon?

Very Good

This app is very good! Some improvements will be great, but, it enough!

Quite okay, but lacking crucial features

The app does exactly what is described above, and nothing else. It quickly copies all contacts to Google Mail, maintainig the lists I assigned them to. But I expected a bit more, since this is version 3.2 and should be more than just a proof of concept. Please add at least a way to select, which groups should be synchronised, instead of synchronising all by default. E.g. I want to sync my private contacts (groups "Private" and "Familiy & Friends") but not my business contacts to my private Google Mail account (and vice versa). With that feature I would definitely give a 5 stars rating.

Best app for syncing contacts of iCloud to gmail

Very reliable. Manual mode helps to have full control over what should be synced. Can you come up with a similar app for iCloud calendar sync to gmail??? :-)

Generates Duplicates

I used this app to sync my google contacts into my apple addressbook. I worked very well. It downloaded even the photos and all groups into apple contacts. But some contacts are without photos.

works great

Syncing contacts works great

Great App

If you are iPhone & Galaxy user this is the PERFECT app for you. works great , easy and fast.

Works well, but only in (cheap) paid mode.

You can test this app with 40 contacts, but in order to do the heavy lifting you need to pay. That said, it is definitly worth its € 3,99, because it is indeed fast, and seems to work correctly, which cannot be said of all sync apps around. It also has the option to sync only certain contact group, which is great if you keep all your contacts, but don’t want them all on your phone or gmail account. Ah, yes, and the German translation is *completeley* obscure, so better switch to English if you can figure out from the „german“ interface :-)

Doesnt work

Doesnt work as advertised. Put in my Gmail credentials then it quits after a few seconds without having synced anything.

Needs improvement, really a good google to apple addressbook sync.

does not seem to merge contacts well. e.g. if i have a contact of a given name, and later add an email to it, the second email is not added to the other record. basically any change to an existing record never seems to get shoved over. I need to delete it in my mac addressbook and then have it sync from google again. This is best, because deleting contacts in google causes linked accounts such as google chat and google+ to be deleted of course. does not seem to synchronize picture / avatars. e.g. a contact in google with a picture, the picture is not on the newly created contact in apple address book. when i merge from apple address book to google, sometimes i see it creates additional group in the google contacts interface, (e.g. "Family", "Coworkers" etc. when there is clearly already the group there. instead of just stufing them into the existing group. So basically, it seems to work best if - you like to use your google contact list as the master, and do not have any manually added stuff to your apple contacts. - you do the delete of target contact list and synchronize from google to apple book, so that the google master list gets applied every time to capture changes to existing records. - you dont mind having no avatar picture in your apple contacts, because you would need to manually applying the picture icons to your apple contacts after synchronizing them from google. but the delete on sync makes them all go away agin.

Could be a lot more!

Kinda expensive for a program that syncs with multiple problems. It also doesnt allow recurrent background synching like the native address book gmail sync. It should at the least do that. Could be worth it if the developer puts much much work on it.

M

This is a great app. Gets the job done with just the right number of options. Love it so far.

Dont waste your money!

This application does not work as advertised. Rather than removing duplicates, it creates them.

Needs better instructions, but works great!

I had a hard time figuring out how to do the initial sync. But now it works great! I very often send emails to groups, so it makes my life a lot easier. Since all my contacts were updated on Gmail, I had to delete all Contacts on my Mac, then proceed with a "Gmail to Mac" sync, "forcing update All Contacts", and "ignoring Gmail "other contacts"". Now all my Google contact pictures show on emails I receive from my contacts. Very useful, especially since I much prefer Picasas people recognition integration with Googles contact.

Manual would be helpful, but great sync utility

I was desperately looking for a way to sync 2 of my iCloud contact groups with a new Nokia Lumia 710 Windows 7 Phone, using Google GMail Contacts as an intermediary. After trying every option I could think of, I purchased Contacts Sync For Google Gmail. Problem solved! It looked a little daunting at first (documentation would go a LONG way toward getting people interested and started on the right foot), but it has worked flawlessly. No regrets.

Works pretty well

Definitely need to read the help manual first to understand what it will do, otherwise works well. Syncing contact groups is excellent.

Update Link Not Working

Great little app, but the update link for v. 3.7.8 is not working. I had to delete the earlier version and download anew. I have informed the creators, but can find no other way to inform Apple.

Need to be able to sinc in the background.

I downloaded this app after being frustrated with the "sync with google" feature in Address Book. It works reasonably well, but I was surprised to find there was no feature to sync in the background or some kind of sync scheduler. I see this as an essential feature and the app will not be truly useful until it is available.

Seems to work very well

Ive used this a few times so far and it seems to work very well. Its a neccessity given the really poor integration features provided by Microsoft (Outlook) and Apple (Contacts).
